PS. In the day the Flaming Lips lived 5 houses down and across from me on College Street. Norman OK. I was in grad school. University of Oklahoma. Top 10 philosophy dept. Odd. Like many college students, we had fun police contacts. That's ok. They were pretty cool. I mentioned I had been attacked by a Water Bug, too, and it seemed equally absurd as the police fun and games. But the genius was Wayne. I was chilling over there when they recorded the song. The reference to the older brother is not to me. They put 2 and 2 together, however. And the water bugs attacked the policeman.
